Introduction dive / Discover Scuba | This brief introduction course is ideal for those who are not certified but wish to experience the thrills and beauty of life beneath the surface. Following a short presentation on basic dive skills and gear, this program allows participants 10 and older to quickly move into an open water environment, making their dive in small groups under the direct supervision of a PADI instructor to a maximum depth of 40 feet/12m. The discover scuba experience can be credited towards an Open Water certification, counting as your first dive and classroom session. Curacao’s myriad calm bays, 100 plus foot visibility, and fantastic colorful reef life make it the perfect spot for your first journey beneath the sea. But be prepared, scuba diving is addictive! |
| Scuba Review Course | Has it been a while since you’ve been scuba diving? Have you forgotten your depth tables and how much weight you need? How about clearing your mask, breathing from a free flowing regulator, or swimming to the surface with your buddy while breathing from their alternate air source? If you’re feeling a little nervous about hopping directly onto a dive boat and joining a large group down at 100 feet/30m, then the scuba review course is for you. The course is open to any certified diver wishing to refresh their knowledge and dive skills and takes about 3 hours. You’ll spend some time on land with our PADI instructors reviewing theory and equipment, before hitting the water to refresh your skills. Now when the time comes to hit the dive boat, you’ll be cool and confident. |

Participants must be certified PADI Open Water Divers (or possess a similar certification from another training organization); age restrictions range from 10 – 15, depending on the adventure dive chosen. Completing the deep and underwater navigation dives plus any other three adventure dives earns the participant an Advanced Open Water certification. Adventure dives also count towards specialty certifications. Whether your interest lies in wreck dives, deep dives, night dives, drift dives, underwater photography, fish identification or any other specialty, the warm clear waters of Curacao have just what you’re looking for. |
| Advanced Course | This course is the next step in your scuba diving education. Unlike your open water course, there are no exams or pool time, and classroom time is minimal. The advanced class exposes you to some of the more challenging aspects of diving. Under the supervision of our PADI instructors, you’ll be required to complete 5 adventure dives, which must include a deep dive (up to 100 feet) and a navigation dive with and without a compass. The other 3 adventure dives are up to you. Would you like to learn how to safely dive at night? Or maybe your interest lies with wrecks, photography, drift diving, or fish identification. These are just some of the options to explore along Curacao’s pristine reefs. The advanced class is open to anyone 12 and over (ages 12 –14 earn a junior certification), and can be completed in as little as 2 days. |
| Rescue Course | The PADI rescue diver course is one of the most valuable and enjoyable scuba courses you can take, and it’s a prerequisite for anyone wishing to continue towards dive master or instructor levels. You’ll learn varied techniques to help yourself and your dive buddies be safer and discover how to prevent many problems before they occur. This course is highly recommended for anyone planning to dive without professional guides. The class includes instruction videos, academic sessions, and 5 open water dives with various challenging and exciting exercises. You’ll learn about self-rescue and diver stress, dive related first aid, swimming and non-swimming rescue techniques, emergency management and rescue equipment, panicked diver response, underwater problems, missing diver procedures, surfacing with an unconscious diver, in-water rescue breathing protocols, first aid procedures for pressure related accidents, and assorted dive accident scenarios. The course is open to anyone 12 and older (ages 12 – 14 receive a junior certification) with at least 20 logged dives. Those not yet certified in emergency first aid procedures will need to complete our EFR class prior to rescue diver certification. The entire rescue diver course can generally be completed in 3 – 4 days. |
