We worked hard to take the subjectivity out of the system by including as many opinions as possible, both from professional divers, frequent local recreational divers, and tourists who may have only dove the site a few times.

A number of factors are considered and weighted in the survey, including accessibility, on-site facilities, and of course the quality of the dive location and marine life encountered.

The rating system is a work in progress and subject to change as more divers visit and rate our sites.
 
As with any aesthetic judgments, opinions vary. Some divers don’t like steep walls while others love them. Some divers prefer returning to a deserted beach after their dive while others want a fresh shower and hot lunch.

It is certainly possible that you may feel one of our 2-star sites is superior to another listed with 6-stars. Every single dive site has something unique to offer and is worth exploring.

As most visitors’ time is limited, our rating system is designed to steer you towards what we feel are some of the finer dive locations on Curacao.
