“Curacao - It's not just a blue liqueur at the back of Nana's cupboard” – Lonely Planet

Curacao with a population of 141 766 (http://www.cbs.an/population/population_b2.asp) is the largest of the ABC islands, and the administrative centre of the Netherlands Antilles. It remains relatively unknown outside of The Netherlands and the Caribbean. Curacao has been slower to develop its tourist industry compared to its neighbours, Aruba and Bonaire.

Curacao’s best kept secret are it’s beautiful white sand beaches and secluded coves but the island has a lot more to offer than sun, sea and sand:

  • some of the best diving locations in the Caribbean, with six of its more than 80 dive locations ranked amongst the best in the world e.g. Watamula and Klein Curacao.
  • a variety of tropical flora and fauna
  • a rich and diverse culture and history which includes the recently nominated UNESCO World Heritage Site Willemstad, forts, well maintained plantation houses, historical wrecks and a 12.5 mile coral reef which has  protected status as a national park.
  • a busy and exciting nightlife, from traditional music festivals to casinos, Curacao has something for everyone.
