Taxis can be recognized by the prefixes TX on the vehicles registration plates. Some mini bus taxis also display a sign on top of the vehicles. There are designated taxi ranks at the airport, in the city and close to hotels. You should always agree the fare with the driver before starting your journey. The prices quoted are for 1-4 people between the times 06.00 to 23.00.  Outside of these hours, or for additional people, a supplement of 25% is applicable.

• From Hato (airport) to  Jan Thiel approx $40
• From Hato to Hotel Otrobanda approx  $25
• From Hato to Punda (e.g. van der Valk hotel) approx  $30

Please remember that waiting for a taxi can take longer than expected!
